After a Monday of changeable sky conditions and warmer temperatures we have a Tuesday that probably goes down as the best weather day of the week so take advantage of that. We are far enough away from both last night's weather system that brought showers and thunderstorms to the Mid Atlantic. That has now weakened and passed to the east. The next weather system and cold front will be impacting the Ohio Valley today so we should be in a good spot. We expect no worse than partly sunny skies today. SANTA ANA, Calif. – A 33-year-old Phoenix man has been convicted of murdering four men in a failed attempt to take over the drug business that left three of the men shot to death, their bodies set on fire inside of a burning car left abandoned in a residential neighborhood in Orange in the middle of the day in 2015. The body of a fourth man was found inside of a car in Fontana six days after he was shot to death; his killers recorded his dying moments on a cell phone, according to the OCDA .

Do you wonder what that nasty smell that has been cropping up all over Denver is?. I know. Denver has lots of nasty smells, including urine and feces in the alleys. There also is the unmistakable chemical smell of meth that turns some people’s stomachs. And of course, marijuana lingers in the air Denver-wide.

It’s a fair question: Have people experiencing homelessness moved to Denver for a free hotel room?. At least one man did. The mother of a missing man messaged me the other day to tell me she is looking for her son. She said he moved back to Denver from Florida thinking he could get a free hotel room as part of Denver Mayor Mike Johnston’s House1000 plan. Of course, those rooms all are full now. Also, most people who received the rooms were in established encampments that the mayor swept. There never were any rooms for people who might move to Denver one week to be housed the next.

The Scituate Animal Shelter of Massachusetts recently introduced Chewbacca, nicknamed Chewy, who they describe as a funny fella who loves everyone. “This adorable mutt is built like an oversized Shih Tzu and weighs 25 lbs. Since he was found as a stray and never claimed, we don't know much about his past.” Chewy has a personality as unique as his looks. "He is overly friendly with all, dogs included. He can come on a bit strong but in the kindest way. He wants everyone to be his friend!" states the Scituate Animal Shelter of Massachusetts, who is currently caring for Chewy until he finds his forever home.
