Pearl 4x800 relay team breaks Mississippi state record by 16 seconds
PEARL, Miss. (WLBT) - On Saturday, a handful of runners on the Pearl track & field team were in Florida to compete at the Florida State Relays. The 4x800 meter relay team, consisting of seniors Tanner Moore and Brendan Clark and juniors Jaquavion Bryant and Jon Haralson, not only finished first in the event, which included some of the fastest relay teams in the country, they broke the Mississippi state record in the event. The Pirate relay team, which ran a time of 7:50.77, shattered the previous record of 8:06.07 set in 2022 by Clinton.
