OU football lands DL Logan Lokey in Sooners' 2028 recruiting class
NORMAN — Oklahoma football landed its fifth 2028 commitment Monday. Defensive lineman Logan Lokey out of Guyer High School in Denton, Texas, chose the Sooners over SMU, Texas A&M and Texas Tech. Lokey visited OU during its blowout home loss to South Carolina this past weekend. At 6-foot-3, 245 pounds, Lokey is a consensus top-55 player in the state of Texas. Clamps: Impressive Frisco defense ices out Panther Creek for statement win
FRISCO--- Heading into Thursday evening’s showdown at The Star, both the Panther Creek and Frisco football teams were 6-2 on the season. Both squads stumbled out of the blocks offensively, but it would be Frisco’s defense that made impact plays throughout, forcing four turnovers to bolster a 35-10 winning effort. “We prepare hard every week,” said senior linebacker Bradley Nuckols, who helped enforce the physicality throughout the contest. “We hit people in the mouth, we get everywhere, we’re the toughest team in the state. Best athletes, we’ve got a strong, physically tough team. We love getting after it. We take pride in our physicality and our team chemistry, we’re a brotherhood.” A quiet first quarter on the scoreboard, Frisco (7-2, 6-1) got its first turnover when Panther Creek (6-3, 4-3) pushed into enemy territory. Senior Frisco cornerback Antonio Reese leaped and stole a ball out of the air to prevent any Panther points and give his team possession. The next Panther Creek possession brought up fourth-and-10 with immediate pressure from senior defensive end Slade Leaumont. He delivered a powerful shot to knock the ball loose that was recovered by senior Baron Barker and set up the game’s opening score. Frisco
