A ceremony to honor Private Benjamin Olof Bong, the last Civil War veteran buried in Isanti County, will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 13 at Union Cemetery in Cambridge. The event, hosted by the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War with assistance from the Isanti County Historical Society and the Cambridge American Legion Post 290 Veterans Honor Guard, is open to veterans, Civil War history enthusiasts, and the general public.
