Sunny weekend, showers return next week
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Tranquil weather will be the rule through the weekend. The Northern Lights may be visible Friday and Saturday nights after 11pm. You should look for a faint green or red glow in the northern sky. You’ll have to get away from city lights in order to see the aurora if it appears. Skies will clear Friday night and lows will drop into the lower 50s. Sunny and pleasant on Saturday and Sunday with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms return next week, and we will have a chance of rain each day. High temps will climb into the mid to upper 70s and lows will settle near 60 each morning.

The last of the rain moved out early this morning, but the clouds will hang around a little longer. It will gradually become mostly sunny by this afternoon. Temperatures are starting in the low to mid 60s this morning and will climb into the upper 70s to low 80s this afternoon. Today will also be a bit breezy with winds from the west at around 10 to 20 mph.
