Kent Police nab suspect after burglary, vehicle and foot pursuit
A Kent Police sergeant and officer successfully located and arrested a burglary suspect after a pursuit on Sunday morning, July 21. 2024. Police said that just before 11 a.m., dispatch notified Kent Patrol Officers of a commercial burglary at an East Hill construction site near the 28500 block of 144th Avenue SE. Witnesses reported the suspect’s vehicle, a gray 2007 Toyota Prius, was last seen traveling northbound on 144th Avenue SE.
Kent Police arrest woman after standoff in domestic violence case
Kent Police arrested a woman following a standoff at a residence in the 24000 block of 94th Avenue S. (map below) on Monday morning, July 22, 2024. Police said that at 10:20 a.m., officers were dispatched to the home after receiving a 911 call from a man reporting that his wife had assaulted him and attempted to break his phone. The caller, a 47-year-old Kent man, left the house to contact police from a neighbor’s home. He later informed officers that his elderly father was still inside and possibly unable to leave.
