Police: Woman arrested for DUI after rolling Jeep off cliff in St. George
ST. GEORGE — Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of a rollover on state Route 18 near mile marker 6 on Tuesday evening. When they arrived, it was discovered that the Jeep had allegedly rolled off a cliff from a hiking trail near the highway before coming to rest on its side on the state highway.

Washington County search and rescue, public safety teams ‘hoist’ hikers from Eagle Crags
ST. GEORGE — Two hikers became lost and ran out of water while hiking the Eagle Crags area near the Canaan Mountain Wilderness near Rockville Monday evening. Deputy Jacob Paul told St. George News that the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 7:46 p.m. The hikers from California included a man in his 60s and a female in her 50s.

ST. GEORGE — An afternoon hike ended in a steep rescue mission on Monday after a couple found themselves unprepared for the temperatures and terrain, authorities say. Chief Hunt with the Beaver Dam/Littlefield Fire and Rescue said they received a call at approximately 1:30 p.m. regarding a 68-year-old woman who had been hiking with her husband near the Virgin River Canyon Campground, accessed by the Cedar Pocket Exit.
Crews knock down fire in Santa Clara

Santa Clara – Ivins Fire & Rescue was summoned to “a brush fire that started in the backyard of a residence on El Vista in Santa Clara,” says a social media post issued Tuesday afternoon, asking people to steer clear of the fire while crews were on scene.
