Visalia restaurant owner passes after battle against rare cancer
VISALIA, Calif. ( ) – Strings Italian Cafe announced that Chapala Grill will stay open after the passing of one of the owners, Pedro Moreno Mendez. Mendez and his wife Maria opened the Mexican restaurant in 2003. The couple ran the restaurant together until Pedro Moreno passed in September. Facebook posts say that 52-year-old Pedro died after fighting a rare cancer.
