Weekly Safety Report: Fatal Shootings Shake Huron, California
Two incidents occurred in Huron, California this week resulting in one fatality. The first incident involved a shooting that took place around 2 am on Sunday near Huron Elementary School. April Diaz, 37, was found with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, Andrew Leon, 19, turned himself in later that night in Monterey County. Investigators believe an argument between Leon and Diaz preceded the shooting. The second incident occurred shortly before 2 am on Sunday in the same area. A person was found dead on the road, and no suspect information has been released.
