Santa Clara joins affordable housing push
The Santa Clara Board of Trustees took its first steps last week toward a program that aims to bring more affordable housing to the Mining District. The board voted unanimously at its meeting Thursday to adopt the Grant County Affordable Housing Plan, along with a notice of intent to adopt a village affordable housing ordinance. The Bayard City Council will consider similar actions at its June 10 meeting and Hurley will also have similar items on a future agenda.
