MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Cold Springs High School rising senior Ethan Edgeworth saved his best performance for the last track and field meet of the 2022-2023 school year. Edgeworth clocked 8:53.56 in the 3,200 meters at the recent RunningLane Track Championships held at Huntsville’s Milton Frank Stadium. Edgeworth recorded the best 3,200-meter time in AHSAA history, according to AHSAA records. Edgeworth, who competed as an independent, told www.alabamarunners.com after the race that he’d been working throughout the spring season to break the 9-minute barrier. HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Sonny DiChiara returns to the Rocket City active roster after spending the entire season to date on the Injured List. DiChiara was selected by the Angels in the fifth round of the 2022 draft and immediately began his professional career with the Trash Pandas. In 36 games with the Trash Pandas last season, DiChiara hit .195 with one home run, 10 RBI, and 25 walks. He began his career with a 17-game on-base streak and hit his first professional home run on August 5 vs. Tennessee, a two-run blast in the first inning.

Community Living Huntsville hosts Golf Fore Inclusion, an all-abilities, nine-hole tournament, at Deerhurst Lakeside Golf Course on Thursday, September 7, 2023, starting at 9:00 AM. Early Bird registration is $90 per person until July 31. Registration increases to $100 per person on August 1.
