Be safe in the heat on Memorial Day! There is a Heat Advisory for all of southeast Texas in effect until 10pm Monday. Houston will see peak afternoon feels-like temperatures from 108-113 degrees. Late Monday afternoon into Monday night there is also a possible risk for some strong to severe storms, mainly in the north and western FOX26 areas. These isolated storms could bring heavy rain, strong winds, or hail. There rest of the week will see seasonal temperatures and a few afternoon showers/thunderstorms.
HCSO employee arrested for violating protective order, charged for assaulting son
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - On Friday, Jason Spencer was arrested for violating an emergency protective order by Montgomery County Sheriff's Office deputies. According to MCSO, Spencer, the Chief of Staff for the Harris County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called around 3:54 p.m. to an address in The Woodlands after reports Spencer was at the residence.
Houston weather: Heat Advisory issued for Houston-area on Sunday, Monday
HOUSTON - Two heat advisories have been issued for the Houston area on Sunday and Monday. The National Weather Service reports heat index values are expected to reach up to 110 on Sunday and up to 112 on Monday. Therefore, a Heat Advisory will be in effect from noon until 8 p.m. on Sunday and Monday for areas of south central and southeast Texas.
