Paris Police Report For Wednesday (May 31)
Last Tuesday morning at 10:42, two Paris officers arrived in the 300-block of NW 19th about an assault. A male was walking from the scene, and Paris EMS treated a female. The male, bleeding from a minor laceration on his elbow, stated nothing had happened. The female, with redness on her neck and chest area, said that the male, her boyfriend, had choked her during a verbal argument. Officers arrested Billy Don Storm, 61, of Paris, for assaulting Family-Household Member and Impeding Breath-Circulation.

Last Friday at 1:00 pm, a Paris Patrolman conducted a traffic stop on a red Mustang in the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue for a seat belt violation. He arrested passenger Tiffany Louise Cox, 29, of Blossom, with an Online Impersonation Name-Person Felony Warrant, out of the Red River County Sheriff’s Office and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police Report For Friday (May 26)
Thursday afternoon at 4:27, officers and Texas Rangers responded to the 2800 block of Stillhouse Rd. where they arrested Danny Crossland on warrants out of Louisiana. Louisiana wanted Crossland for Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor and Indecent Behavior with Juveniles. Both charges are Felonies. Crossland was booked and placed in jail.

Paris Police Report For Thursday (May 25)
At 10:31 Wednesday night, an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 1500 block of Lamar Avenue. A passenger, Aimee Foster, was observed possessing medication not in its original prescription container. Through interviewing Foster and researching the type of medication she had, officers established that the medication was a prescription drug and that Foster had not been prescribed the medication by a physician. As a result, they arrested Foster for Possession of a Dangerous Drug and booked her into the Lamar County Jail.
Alleged catalytic converter thief caught red-handed
CHOCTAW COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - A woman was arrested in Choctaw County after deputies said they caught her stealing a catalytic converter. Sheriff Terry Park said deputies and Hugo Police were looking for a man to serve a protective order, when they ran across Adara Lindamood cutting the catalytic converter from someone else’s vehicle.

Impaired driver collides with cow in Hugo, OHP says
HUGO, Okla. (KXII) - An Antlers man, who troopers said was speeding and driving impaired, was injured after hitting a cow on the highway early Monday morning. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Edwin R. Couch, 52, was traveling northbound on US-271, approximately 9/10ths of a mile from US-70, when he hit the bovine - sending it flying approximately 250 feet.

Patty was born in Hugo, Okla., and began her adventures in life at an early age living in Lake Maracaibo, Venezuela, with her parents. She attended primary school in Venezuela as well as Ada, Okla. She graduated high school from Gulf Park in Gulf Port, Miss., and attended College at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, with a major in Music Education and minor in Speech and Theater. She was an amazing wife, mother and career teacher of music K-12. She taught in many rural schools in Oklahoma to include Soper, Fort Towson and Fletcher, before settling in Moore, Okla., after the death of her husband. She remained as a teacher with Moore Public Schools until retirement. She continued to mentor children of all ages in the Moore area in music until her second retirement at age 80.
