'A difference of views': President Ben Marcello has left PREMIER Bankcard
Ben Marcello is out as president at PREMIER Bankcard in Sioux Falls, said Miles Beacom, chairman and CEO of the company, on Monday. Beacom said Marcello left due to a “difference of views” at the nationally-recognized credit card organization tied to First PREMIER Bank. Beacom, who will now serve as interim president, called it a “mutual” decision of which he and Marcello “came to an agreement with after a period of time.” “I’m sad,” Beacom said, who began serving as CEO of PREMIER Bankcard in 1993 and has served as president in the past. “We’re both sad. I can’t share more about it right now.” As of Monday morning, Marcello could not be reached for comment. What we saw during Marcello’s three-year tenure Marcello, who left “a few weeks ago,” Beacom said, came on as president in 2023 with over two decades of executive leadership and finance experience. During his tenure, Marcello’s focus was on an end-to-end technology overhaul, including customer interaction platforms, a new call center and an automated marketing platform via Fiserv and Genesys. “I believe it’s important to deliver financial services with all the passion, empathy and commitment required to create a more financially inclusive world,” Marcello

VIEWPOINT | Downtown district helps Sioux Falls accomplish more
Since 1989, Downtown Sioux Falls property owners have made a collective decision: invest together in the future of downtown. For many people, the BID is associated with the visible things it helps support: ambassadors, flower planters, events, holiday decorations, beautification and marketing. Those investments are important, but they are not the purpose of the BID.
