Gunter falls in extras against Edgewood
FORNEY, Texas (KTEN)- It will be do-or-die for Gunter on Saturday after the Tigers fell to Edgewood 2-1 in game two of their three game series. It was the first loss for Gunter (33-1) on the season. The series-deciding game will be at North Forney at 2:00 on Saturday.

From the opening at-bat of Game 2 in the Celina baseball team's regional quarterfinal series against Godley, the Bobcats were in command. Senior Zack Henderson singled the first pitch of the game, and he around to score two batters later on an RBI double from senior Major Brignon. Two more runs followed for the Bobcats, who racked up five runs in the game's first two innings and never looked back on the way to an 11-0 run-rule victory on Friday from Denton Guyer High School to secure a return to the regional semifinals.

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Tom Bean had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by an 18-5 margin over the Era Hornets. The result was nothing new for Tom Bean, who have now won 19 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
