Fire marshals say the fire originated in the living room, but the cause is still under investigation.
Assateague herd of wild horses suffers two foal deaths in difficult season
The Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Department reported on Monday that foals were experiencing a challenging season in terms of mortality rate and normal feeding. "As with any animal birth there can be issues that arise before, during or after labor. A normal occurrence here on Assateague is that we lose some foals every year, we try all we can to help when we see an issue but sometimes Mother Nature already has other plans," the department wrote in a social media post.
Pocomoke City Police Department investigating shots fired
POCOMOKE CITY, Md – The Pocomoke City Police Department has confirmed that they are investigating an incident of shots fired late Saturday night. According to police, around 11:00pm Saturday night in the Moore Street area, there was a shot fired at a vehicle. Police have confirmed that the shooting did occur, but also say that there is no threat to public safety at this time.
Student fight leads to staff assault at Snow Hill High School
SNOW HILL, Md. – A Worcester County teenager could be facing charges, after police say they assaulted a school staff member and deputy. On Monday afternoon, the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office says a fight broke out between two students during dismissal at Snow Hill High School. After the fight was broken up, police say one of the students became disorderly.
