Oregon Fringe Festival heads into its last day

International nursing students visit Southern Oregon
ASHLAND, Ore. - Seven international nursing students from Guanajuato, Mexico visited Oregon Health & Science University School of Nursing’s Ashland campus. “I think this is a wonderful experience for the students….They have this opportunity to see how people work here,” said Alfredo Lara, a faculty member at Guanajuato University. “They are learning a lot of the ways, the teaching ways that OHSU have here.”

Proceeds support youth bike education; bike donations may be made any time of year. The skies were overcast, but there was excitement in Ashland on Saturday at the 32nd annual Rogue Valley Bike Swap. Hundreds of bikes of all sizes and types, as well as helmets and bike parts, were available for sale. The consignment sale was co-hosted by Ashland Parks & Recreation, Rogue Valley Transportation District, and Get ‘n Gear; proceeds from the sale benefit the youth bike education fund.
