HONOLULU (KHON2) — According to a brochure published by The Vista at Mauna Kea, a big name in the baseball world is making a big move to the Big Island.

L.A. Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani could soon be a part-time Hawaii Island resident.

The Vista said Ohtani is the soon-to-be owner of a new custom home on Lot 7.

It’s intended to be his winter training facility during the MLB off season.

They added The Vista at Mauna Kea resort has entered a marketing partnership with the baseball star.

The resort is a ground-up development of 14-luxury single family homes that cost up to $17.3 million.

Each home sits on a one-acre lot.
