UH baseball beats Chaminade

The University of Hawaii baseball team snapped a three game losing streak on Tuesday night with a 2-0 win over Chaminade at Les Murakami Stadium.

The Rainbow Warriors, playing the Honolulu Division II program for the first time ever was able to allow just two hits on the night using 10 different pitchers to record 13 strikeouts. Brayden Marx was credited with the victory having recorded one strikeout in one inning, allowing no hits with one walk.

At the plate, Elijah Ickes went 1-for-3 with an RBI single while Jordan Donahue extended his hitting streak to 17 games with a single in the 8th inning.

The Silverswords got a solid start from Mac Elske on the mound, as he would not allow a hit in his three innings of work.

The Rainbow Warriors improve to 20-14, Chaminade falls to 15-29.

Up next for the ‘Bows will be a three game series against Cal Poly starting on Friday.

The Silverswords will close out their regular season with four games against Hawaii Pacific starting on April 27.
