Seven men arrested in human trafficking operation in Holyoke

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Seven men were arrested in Holyoke on Monday following a “human trafficking” operation.

Members of Holyoke and State Police conducted the operation on Monday targeting human trafficking in the city. Officers arrested the following individuals and have been charged with soliciting sex for a fee:

Jorge Lopez: 49-years-old
Jose Santiago: 68-years-old
Christopher Laines: 34-years-old
Josue Ortiz: 29-years-old
Sarom Soeng: 47-years-old
Guy Flathers: 72-years-old
Joseph Fournier: 61-years-old

The operation was a joint effort between the Holyoke Police Department Detective Unit and the Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victim Unit to reduce the amount of sexual exploitation throughout the city. Detective Hamel says the operation will continue in the future.
