Kitchen Cops shut down mini-mart as AC unit leaks onto food prep area
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - The Kitchen Cops say they had to shut down one food mart on the spot during an inspection in Madison County this week. It happened at the Maysville Food Mart. That’s inside the Chevron at Maysville Road and Ryland Pike. Inspectors say they saw dirty soda nozzles, and multiple foods nearly 20 degrees over the recommended temperature in a cooler. But the final straw was seeing wastewater from the air conditioner dripping from the ceiling onto the food prep area. The mini-mart was shut down immediately until the issues were fixed. The business was allowed to reopen once inspectors approved the repairs a short time later. The Maysville Food Mart scores an 80.
