Clarksville High clinches state tournament appearance, sets program record for single season wins
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville High Wildcats hosted games two and three of a three game series on Thursday, May 16, against the Collierville Dragons. While CHS fell in the second game by a score of 9-2, the Wildcats bounced back in game three to punch their ticket to the state tournament with a 5-0 shutout victory.
Collierville Celebrates Grand Opening of New Pickleball Courts at Suggs Park
According to town officials, Collierville just got a little more spirited with the addition of brand-spanking-new pickleball courts in Suggs Park. Kicking off with a bash on Thursday, the grand opening saw the traditional ribbon-cutting, a warm-up speech from Mayor Stan Joyner, and the local bigwigs, including Vice Mayor Maureen Fraser and Town Administrator Molly Mehner, showing off their paddle prowess in a friendly inaugural match.

Collierville BMA denies Principle Toyota's rezoning request
Principle Toyota’s resubmitted rezoning request was denied by a 4-2 vote on the second reading by the Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen during its Monday meeting. Aldermen's John Worley, John Stamps, Missy Marshall and Billy Patton voted against the rezoning request, while Mayor Stan Joyner and Maureen Fraser voted for it. The three aldermen all spoke highly of Principle Toyota, but all expressed their concerns of where the relocated dealership would be at behind the Kroger on Houston Levee Road.
