A Florida man who fell off a fishing boat last month at a marina in the Bahamas and was attacked by a shark is recovering. Marlin Wakeman said during a Thursday news conference at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach that he was working on a boat at the Flying Fish Marina in Long Island on April 26 when he slipped and fell into the shark-infested water. He was bit on the leg. Wakeman said the boat's captain tied a tourniquet on his leg before he was taken to a clinic. He was then flown to Florida for surgery.
