A shopping and dining complex in Jupiter faces another lawsuit over the October electrocution death of a man. 20-year old Skyler Sparks has filed suit against Harbourside Place, claiming he owes medical bills from injuries he allegedly sustained while trying to rescue Nate Davenport and his kids from a fountain which had electrical currents running through the water.
Man flees during traffic stop, hits SUV in head-on crash
Port St. Lucie police said a driver crashed head-on into an SUV after speeding away during a traffic stop Thursday morning. The incident happened at around 9:20 a.m. in the 1600 block of Southeast Veterans Memorial Parkway. Police said they pulled over a man driving a white Chevrolet sedan, when the man took off.
Man dead after huffing, explosion in vehicle in Port St. Lucie
PORT ST. LUCIE – A 48-year-old Port St. Lucie man died Thursday after an apparent explosion while “huffing” in his vehicle in St. Lucie West, police said. What happened: Port St. Lucie police about 12:07 a.m. Thursday went to Walmart in the 1600 block of Northwest St. Lucie West Boulevard regarding a 911 call from a man indicating his vehicle was on fire and his body was burned, said Sgt. Dominick Mesiti, police spokesperson. The man, identified as Neil Little, said he was huffing, or inhaling vapors or fumes from an aerosol, propellant or other substance, in his vehicle when an explosion occurred, Mesiti said.
Car crash misses driver outside of stalled truck, blocks lanes for hours on I-95 in Jupiter
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol investigated a crash on Interstate 95 in Jupiter Friday morning that blocked lanes for hours. Authorities say a driver of a Toyota Prius made an improper lane change in the northbound lanes around 5:48 a.m., causing a crash. The person who was hit was taken to Palm Beach Gardens Hospital with non-threatening injuries. That person was driving a Jeep Wrangler.
