Washington state trooper kills a man during a freeway altercation, police say
EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — A Washington state trooper fatally shot a man with a hammer who had attacked state Department of Transportation workers along Interstate 5 north of Seattle, law enforcement officials said.

SEATTLE - Two people were arrested in Seattle in late April suspected of theft, after one of them was caught walking out of a store with a cash register. Police were outside a West Seattle pharmacy store around 7:15 p.m. on April 28, when two suspects walked out the front door. One of them is seen on bodycam video apparently holding a stolen cash register, and police immediately put her in handcuffs.
Head-on collision kills 31-year-old woman in Auburn
A 31-year-old woman died May 11 in a head-on two-vehicle collision in Auburn after her vehicle drifted into oncoming traffic. According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, Sara R. Sampson died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries suffered in an accident in the roadway at 4700 I Street Northeast.
