Hilton, Penfield grab flag football wins; face each other next

GREECE, N.Y. (WROC) — The Hilton flag football team notched their sixth straight win after taking down Arcadia 14-13. Alayina DiNapoli’s pick-six late in the second half proved to be the game-winner for the Cadets.

With 1:59 remaining in the first half, Arcadia senior Tara Visca had a highlight worthy 18-yard touchdown run to the Titans a 6-0 lead into halftime. Early in the second quarter, Tea Cosman connected with Aleyanna DiNapoli on a 44-yard touchdown to give Hilton the 7-6.

On the ensuing possession, Visca made her presence felt again. On fourth and one from near midfield, the senior pulled off a spin move near the line of scrimmage and took off for a 41-yard run to the end zone. Arcadia converted the extra point to make it a 13-6 game.

The Titans faced a third and medium with a little less than six minutes to go. Hilton’s DiNapoli stepped in front of a Arcadia pass to intercept it and return it for a touchdown for the go-ahead score.

Hilton (6-1-1) will head back home to face Penfield on Wednesday, May 1st. Arcadia (5-3) will hit the road and take on Spencerport the same evening.

Penfield meantime, took down Webster Schroeder, 20-7 Monday. Primetime 585 caught up with the Patriots after their win.
