Some Moisture & Less Warm 5-22-2024
For more Permian Basin weather…check here on https://www.yourbasin.com/weather/forecast/. Clouds that have passed through The Trans Pecos will hold on through eastern West Texas for most of the day as Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips highlights the collision of two air masses. As a result of the changing weather conditions, there may be a few isolated showers with possibly some rumbles of thunder during the first half of the day, but as conditions clear out later on, temperatures will reach the upper 80’s, 90’s, and lower triple digits, still above normal for this time of year. The fire threat will increase west of The Pecos River Valley today, but that threat will be even more prevalent tomorrow with sunnier skies, slightly hotter air, lower humidity, and more-persistent westerly winds.

Passing Clouds & Muggier 5-21-2024
For more Permian Basin weather…check here on https://www.yourbasin.com/weather/forecast/. Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips expects triple-digit heat to be not as widespread in West Texas as compared to yesterday as with some passing thin clouds, the atmosphere will be more humid, which is present this morning. While westerly winds in The Trans Pecos will keep the fire threat elevated, a south-southwesterly breeze in The Basin will switch more from the east-southeast late in the day, bringing in more low-level moisture from The Gulf of Mexico. However, stable-enough air will remain to inhibit rain activity as temperatures will rise in the upper 80’s, 90’s, and lower triple digits today. As more-unstable conditions from the west meet up with an incoming frontal boundary from to the northeast, some clouds and lower temperatures will hug the eastern part of The Basin ahead.
