City by City: Duluth, Ironwood, Bayfield
Duluth, MN- Residents will have an opportunity on June 6 to learn about upcoming construction. MnDOT will be hosting a public meeting at the Gary New Duluth Rec Center starting at 5:30 p.m. The topic of the meeting is culvert construction. Work will be done at U.S. Steel Creek and Gogebic Creek beginning in July. Detours are expected to last a few weeks. For those unable to attend, the meeting will be posted online following the meeting.

Cable UCC to host country store
The public is invited to attend the annual Country Store and Luncheon at Cable United Church of Christ on Hwy. M from 9 a.m .to 2 p.m. Friday, June 16. The Women’s Fellowship country store will feature a bake sale. The salad bar luncheon will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for a $12 fee. North End Trail Run held at Cable
The North End Ski Club hosted 108 runners and walkers for their annual trail run Saturday May 27 on the North End Trails off Randysek Road south of Cable. Reported car theft leads to child enticement charge
May 26—SUPERIOR — A stolen vehicle report in Superior resulted in a child enticement charge against the Ashland man who reported the theft. Joshua Trent Holly, 37, of Ashland, faces felony counts of use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and child enticement. He made his initial appearance in Douglas County Circuit Court May 18.
