On Peace Officers Memorial Day, the Frisco Police Department took a solemn moment to pay tribute to one of their fallen heroes, Officer Joe Murphy. According to a post made by the Frisco Police Department, Murphy, who was killed in a tragic crash on January 29, 1968, in the line of duty, was honored for his ultimate sacrifice. His end of watch nearly 56 years ago marked the loss of the department's first officer to die while serving the community.

Three years ago, only 10 players participated in the first practice of the season for the Hebron boys lacrosse team. Not only was it a numbers battle for Hebron, but the Hawks were also under new leadership. Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF), a 33-year-old organization, has been in Texas for the last 15 years in San Antonio. CHF expanded to Dallas in 2016 and into Frisco in 2021. The nonprofit purchased land in Prosper, which will be its new permanent facility near the Dallas North Tollway and First Street.
