A Tennessee man was sentenced to two consecutive life terms after he was found guilty of killing a woman and her 4-month-old son, prosecutors said Monday. >> Read more trending news Enoch Zarceno Turner, 29, of Memphis, was convicted on Saturday in a Shelby County court on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated arson, and especially aggravated burglary, WMC-TV reported. Turner was accused in the stabbing deaths of 32-year-old Heather Cook and her son, Bentley Cook, who were killed on Sept. 13, 2019, according to a news release from the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Four former members of Mid-South law enforcement may soon lose their ability to work in the field in Tennessee. Three former members of the Memphis Police Department (MPD) and one former member of the Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) were called in front of the Tennessee Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) committee on Thursday, May 15. All four were recommended for decertification, meaning that they could lose their Tennessee law enforcement license when the POST committee meets again next week for a formal vote.
