Weather Underground is predicting a high temperature of 82 on Monday, 84 on Tuesday, 86 on Wednesday, 87 on Thursday, and 82 on Friday. The high temperature on Saturday is expected to dip back down into the upper 70s. Overnight lows should be in the upper 40s and low 50s.

Adorable, frightened four-year-old boy needs a gentle, quiet home. – The Adoptable Pet of the Week this week is Theodore from Novy’s Ark Dog Rescue & Adoption. Poor Theodore was absolutely terrified at the local animal services. He could not even be touched. The shelter reached out to Novy’s Ark and asked if they would be willing to try and help Theodore. An amazing foster came forward and he is slowly learning that he is safe and that it is OK to trust humans. He finally untucked his tail and recently gave his foster Mom a big wag, according to the rescue.

Raptor system designed to enhance hospital security. – Twin Cities has successfully implemented the Raptor visitor registration system to enhance hospital security. The system uses government-issued photo IDs of visitors and can quickly alert safety personnel to certain potential threats. In turn, security staff and, if necessary, law enforcement personnel can take appropriate steps to keep patients, staff, and volunteers safe. The visitor badges include a photo, the name of the visitor, and the visitors’ destination – which allows for tracking which visitors are in the building.
