Car crash leaves one motorcyclist dead
Wagoner County, Oklahoma (KAUZ) - A fatal wreck happened on Saturday, at around 2 p.m. on OK-16 south of Wagoner, Oklahoma according to Trooper Jared Sharp. The crash involved a Kia with a 50-year-old driver of Burkburnett, Texas and 4 other passengers, none of which were injured. The other vehicle involved was a motorcycle driven by 61-year-old James David Spring of Mounds, Oklahoma. Spring was pronounced dead as he was being transported to the hospital.

Area Camps Preparing Young Athletes
Lots of athletic camps are being held this summer as young athletes hone their skills for the future. In Henryetta, the annual summer golf camp concluded yesterday at the Henryetta Golf Club. The free program, open to boys and girls from six to 17 years of age, focused on the fundamentals of golf, from the short game to the long game, and provided them with valuable tools to improve their play. Up north, Coach Denise Gray and the Beggs Lady Demons worked with young female athletes Tuesday through Thursday at the 2024 Beggs Girls Individual Basketball Camp. Participants went through warmups, learned fundamentals, group drills and relays and excelled in their shooting game.
