Campers train to be Junior Rangers at Pinson Mounds’ camp
Pinson Mounds hosted Junior Ranger Camp at Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park June 6 through June 8. Park Ranger Deidra Ekberg lead the event. Rangers Claire Smartt, Madlyn Maples and Ethan Azbill led campers through fun activities, teaching what it means to be a Park Ranger, while discussing safety, Tennessee wildlife, the environment and conservation. BEDFORD – A Tennessee man was arrested on drug charges after being stopped for an equipment violation. The Jackson Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a juvenile over the weekend. According to a press release issued by the department, officers responded to 81 Sweet Briar in reference to a sixteen-year-old male who had been shot to death.
