HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Commonwealth Attorney Herbert McKee Jr. announced James Lee, one of the two men who escaped from Allen-Oakwood Prison in Ohio, was sentenced to eight to twelve years in prison for the escape.

McKee also said Lee will serve an additional 8 year sentence for fleeing and evading police in Henderson, as well as the 18 year sentence he received in 2021 for burglary in Auglaize, Ohio. Lee and Bradley Gillespie escaped from the prison in May of last year.
