Transfer portal basketball rankings: The ACC's 10 best transfers next season, ranked
These ACC teams landed the best talent in the college basketball transfer portal. The ACC ranked fifth in NCAA Tournament bids this postseason but led all conferences with four teams in the Sweet 16, the fifth straight Tournament the league led or shared the lead in regional semifinal berths. The ACC is poised for another impressive postseason in 2024-25 after adding some of the nation's top transfer portal talent this offseason, helping the league land multiple teams in the preseason top 25.

Duke lands commitment from Rice DB transfer Tre'Shon Devones
Duke Football continues its methodical roster reload during transfer portal season, as the Blue Devils added a veteran piece on Wednesday in former Rice Defensive Back Tre'Shon Devones. The 6'0", 187 pound fourth year junior departed from Rice after an illustrious career that included placement on the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll for all three of his non-redshirt seasons. This past season, he registered 37 tackles (30 solo), 10 pass breakups, and two interceptions. Devones was the highest rated Owls defensive starter by PFF (77.1) and also led the defensive backs with a 79.8 coverage grade.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Tipton's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers on Thursday. Tipton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games. For Alexandria-Monroe's part, Brynlee Humphries made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. Humphries has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 18 consecutive pitching appearances. Humphries was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double.
