BAR HARBOR—The town of Bar Harbor hopes to receive millions in fines from the Golden Anchor, alleging that the business is operating an unlicensed cruise ship disembarkation facility.
“Having completed the local administrative appeal of the code enforcement officer’s notice of violation, this is the next step in recovering fines and asking the court to order the pier owner to follow the law concerning cruise ship disembarkation,” the town wrote in a press release on Friday.

Presque Isle Crash Results in No Injuries
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - No injuries after Presque Isle Police responded to a two-vehicle accident around 4:30pm Monday afternoon. According to police a GMC Terrain t-boned a Chevy Tahoe on Main Street near KFC. The crash caused no injuries but both vehicles had to be towed away from the scene. Both north bound lanes were shut down for a short time with official worked to clear the roadway. The Presque Isle Fire Department also assisted on scene.
