Gilmer dominates track regionals in Bullard Monday
GILMER, Texas (KLTV) - The Gilmer Buckeyes dominated the track regionals Monday in Bullard, where the boys 4x100 had heat. The anchor man, sprinter Will Henderson, brought it home, as he was familiar with the finish line often. In the 100M where he won state last season, he held off the competitors. Losing is not in his DNA.
Lindale’s Walters gets 1st save of season in Harrisburg win
ERIE, Pa. (KLTV) - Former Lindale Eagle earned his first save in 2024 as the Washington Nationals double-A affililiate in Harrisburg defeated the Erie SeaWolves, 4-3. The righthander entered the game in the ninth inning with the Senators holding a 4-3 lead. Walters struck out the first batter and walked the second before striking out the next two.
County Roads 473, 463 near Lindale closed due to flooding
LINDALE, Texas (KLTV) - County Roads 473 and 463 have been closed near I-20 due to water over the roadway. Heavy rain caused water to flood County Roads 473 and 463 on Saturday afternoon. As of about 2 p.m., the roads were closed and a tow truck was on scene due to a vehicle becoming stuck.
Lindale’s Peterson gets 1-out save in TJC win
TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Former Lindale Eagle Sam Peterson earned his first save of the season as TJC split a doubleheader with Navarro on Sunday. Peterson entered the first game in the seventh inning, with two outs and two runners on base and TJC holding a 12-8 lead. He walked the first batter to load the bases and put the tying run at the plate, but struck out the next batter to end the game.

Washout north of I-20 in Lindale causing traffic delays
LINDALE, Texas (KLTV) - A large washout in a busy roadway north of I-20 in Lindale is causing traffic delays Friday morning. According to a traffic advisory by the Lindale Police Department, a water main break in the area of Jim Hogg Road and I-20 north has caused a large hole to develop that is blocking northbound traffic.

STEPHENVILLE, Texas (KLTV) - Former Lindale Eagle Mason Hammonds had a two-out, two-run single in Tarleton’s 7-2 win over UT-Rio Grande Valley on Sunday. Batting leadoff and starting at third base, the senior was 1-for-2 with two walks. Hammonds walked inthe first inning, walked in the third and got the hit in the fourth.

HAWKINS, Texas (KLTV) - Hawkins is at the center of a DPS cybercrimes investigation after a potential cyber-security incident. The new mayor of Hawkins, Debbie Rushing, is raising concerns over access granted to a city computer by the Mayor Pro-Tem just hours before Rushing was sworn in. The issue is preventing the City of Hawkins from sending out new water bills and affecting how residents pay their current bills.
