Bear Paw Marathon this Saturday
(NMB) The 3rd annual Bear Paw Marathon is set for this Saturday. There will be a full marathon, Half marathon and a 5K fun run/walk. All races start in the Bear Paw Mountains and finish in front of Cowan Hall on the MSU Northern Campus. For community members wanting to cheer on the individual participants, Havre Chamber Executive Director Jessica Fagerbakke says the best place to do so is at the finish line.
Thunderstorms across Montana bring potential for flooding
A series of slow moving and intense thunderstorms produced torrential rainfall and small hail in parts of central and southwest Montana Wednesday afternoon. Flood advisories were in effect until 5:30 p.m. for Hill and Blaine counties. Thunderstorms with intense downpours, lighting and small hail pounded the Havre area Wednesday afternoon where up to over an inch of rain fell.
Art in the Alley is Saturday

Memorial Day Ceremony
(NMB) American Legion Post # 11 hosted the Community Memorial Day Ceremony Monday morning at the Hill County Courthouse. The ceremony began with the Invocation by American Legion Clergy Bill Saboe, Boy Scout Troops raised the flag, Brian Carpenter sang the National Anthem and then read the names of the deceased local Veterans from the past year from June 1st to May 31st. The Honor guard did their firing salute, followed by taps.
Havre Softball Season Ends After Splitting State Tournament Results
The Havre Blue Ponies Softball Team played two consolation games in the Class A State Tournament on Saturday. While they beat Fergus in the first contest in the morning (7-5), the Lady Blue Ponies couldn’t get it done against Billings Central Catholic in the second contest and took a (7-4) loss, ending their season.
1st Street Water Main Break Repairs Scheduled
