At its April 9 meeting, the Board of Aldermen allocated $120,000 of American Rescue Plan Funds to construct a public fishing pier at the end of Broad Street in Downtown. According to the city, the total cost of the 225-foot pier would be $300,000, with additional costs for a parking lot.
