NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) — Three people are facing drug-related charges after their arrest following a traffic stop last week.
On June 6, the Craven County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Bureau conducted a traffic stop on NC Hwy 101 in Havelock for a traffic violation. John Carr, Jeanette Felder and Jaqueline Antone were each arrested after the vehicle they were in was searched. Investigators developed probable cause to search the vehicle and found approximately 37 grams of fentanyl, 45 grams of heroin, 40 dosage units of alprazolam, 5.9 grams of psilocybin (shrooms), and 5 grams of marijuana.
Investigators also assisted North Carolina Probation and Parole Officers with a subsequent probation search of John Carr’s Havelock home. During the search, they found a gun with an altered serial number, approximately 230 grams of marijuana, 81 grams of psilocybin (shrooms) and 5 dosage units of LSD.
Carr, 39, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Four counts of Trafficking Heroin/Fentanyl
- Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance
- Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance
- Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance
- Two counts of Felony Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling for Controlled Substances
- Possession of a Firearm by Felon
- Felony Alter/Remove Gun Serial Number
- Felony Probation Violation
Carr was transported to the Craven County Detention Center and took before the magistrate. He was issued a $4.55 million secured bond.
Jeanette Lynn Felder, 44, and Jaqueline Kay Antone, 35, of Havelock were arrested and charged with the following:
- Four counts of Trafficking Heroin/Fentanyl
- Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance
- Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance
- Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance
- Two counts of Felony Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling for Controlled Substances
Felder and Antone were transported to the Craven County Detention Center and placed there under a $4 million secured bond for each.
