Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Breaks Ground on Ambitious Affordable Housing Development in Saint Paul
Construction boots and hard hats are set to become a familiar sight at The Heights, the latest affordable housing development commencing on the East Side of Saint Paul. Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity has broken ground on what's poised to be a significant injection of homes for those caught in the grip of the housing crisis. Chris Coleman, the organization's President & CEO, heralds the project, "We are thrilled to start construction at The Heights and lay the groundwork for the first 74 units of affordable homeownership at the site," he told the publication. With shovels ready, site work begins this week and the erection of homes will follow before the month wanes.

Saint Paul Small Businesses Invited to Apply for MN PROMISE Act Grants for Economic Boost
Small businesses across Saint Paul could be catching a welcome break thanks to the MN PROMISE Act grant program. Targeted at rejuvenating enterprises in communities impacted by historic racial discrimination and socio-economic challenges, the program is now accepting applications through June 30th. According to the City of St. Paul, these grants are accessible to active Minnesota-based businesses with gross revenues not exceeding $750,000 a year. Eligible locations in Saint Paul encompass areas like University Avenue and the Eastside, among others.
