WEATHER EXTRA: Showers and storms for Wednesday
LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A storm system heading through the Northern Great Lakes will bring a cold front through the area early Wednesday afternoon. Ahead of the cold front plan on rain showers and a few thunderstorms. Any stronger thunderstorms this afternoon could produce gusty winds and small hail. The Storm Prediction Center has southeast Michigan west to the Lansing and Battle Creek areas in a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) for severe thunderstorms.

Battle Creek nursing home with broke fire alarms suffers fire
