It’s that time of year again! Weather Wednesday is back and it’s a segment we feature where Certified Chief Meteorologist Danielle Dozier goes out into the community and shows some of the amazing things to see and do while bringing the weather forecast.

On May 22, she visited Reeves Family Farm in Hartselle where she learned about how weather affects the peach and strawberry crop. She also learned about how they make their ice cream and some of the goods they sell in their market.

During the 4 p.m. segment, she interviewed farm owner Mike Reeves who talked about how peaches grow and the weather it takes to make the perfect peach.

At 4:30 p.m., Mike’s son David Reeves showed us how to pick the perfect strawberry, which they also grow on the property.

Danielle learned about the history of the farm which dates back to the early 1800s and also got to drive a tractor!

During the 6:30 p.m. show, Will Halbrooks, the market manager showed off some of the other goods they have for sale which range from sauces, dressings and produce to desserts.
