HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford police are investigating a homicide Thursday afternoon after a man was found stabbed in a vehicle in the 40 block of Plainfield Street.

The man was identified as Jason Williamson, 41, of Windsor.

Police were dispatched to the area at about 3:30 p.m. after hearing that an unresponsive man was sitting in a vehicle. He had been stabbed once in the chest.

Williamson was transported to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officers do not think that he was stabbed on Plainfield Street, but could have been involved in a fight that happened 10 minutes earlier at Keney Park.

Detectives were going door-to-door in the area on Thursday afternoon asking if anyone has footage from around the time the man may have been stabbed.

Police have not offered a description of a potential suspect.
