“Fire Up DWNTWN” Back and Better for Third Year
MUNCIE, IN—Muncie Downtown Development Partnership (MDDP), an organization connecting our community and creating a vibrant downtown, announced today initial plans for its third “Fire Up DWNTWN,” a street festival that has drawn over 10,000 people to the heart of the city in each of its last two celebrations. The event, sponsored by Ivy Tech Muncie, will be held from 1pm to 10pm, Saturday September 21st.
Recount shows no change in at-large Delaware County Council winners
A recount of the May GOP primary race for at-large county council resulted in the rejection of one absentee ballot that was originally counted on election night. But the margin of loss for council member Ryan Webb, who had requested the recount, remained at 68 votes. According to Delaware County Clerk Rick Spangler, the court-appointed recount committee found an absentee ballot that lacked initials of employees of the clerk’s office, which are required to indicate the paper...
Tools For School Event Happening In Muncie
Tomorrow is the annual Tools for School event at the Muncie Fairgrounds. 10:00 to 2:00 p.m., kids do need to be present – and no need to arrive any earlier than 10:00 a.m. – all will be served. Backpacks, school supplies, and even tennis shoes and jeans will be available.
