CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga police officers arrested a break-in suspect, who was also in possession of a stolen firearm. According to the Chattanooga Police Department, two officers were patrolling Tacoa Avenue on Monday when they saw a suspect attempting to open a house’s window. They said the suspect had a red hoodie and red mask on.

Pair Arrested After Police Caught In Crossfire
Two men have been arrested after police were caught in a crossfire early Wednesday morning in the area of McCallie Avenue and Glenwood Drive. Officers in an unmarked car were conducting an operation and were stopped at a traffic light directly in front of the gas station at 101 Glenwood Dr. when shots rang out. Some hit their vehicle that was occupied by three officers.
Lewis Found Guilty Of 1st-Degree Murder, Robbery
A Criminal Court jury found drug dealer Terrence Dewayne Lewis guilty of first-degree murder and robbery in the slaying of 20-year-old UTC student Evan Derry. It will be the second life prison sentence for the Chattanooga man. Lewis is already serving a life sentence for the December 2020 murder of Randy Williams, and he has been accused of a third murder, that of Pierre Casseus in November 2021.
Officers Vehicle Pursuit Leads To Foot Chase, Arrest - And Other Collegedale Police Calls
Night shift officers were alerted to a stolen vehicle in the 5500 block of Little Debbie Parkway. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. After a short pursuit, the driver wrecked and ran on foot. The individual was caught and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, felony evading arrest, evading arrest on foot, failure to maintain lane, failure to use a turn signal, failure to obey a traffic device, license required, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and simple possession of a schedule VI drug.
