CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — A Harrison County magistrate on Saturday set a six-figure bond for Upshur County against a suspected drug felon. Magistrate Kimberly Wygal set a $100,000 cash or surety bond for Scott Isaac Freeman, 43, of Buckhannon.

Second Citizens Sheriff's Academy in Harrison County Set to Begin August 5; Applications Being Accepted
Harrison County Sheriff Robert Matheny is pleased to announce the opening of the second Citizen Sheriff’s Academy. This academy will allow business, religious, civic, and community leaders an inside look at the operation of the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office. The academy will consist of eight weeks of instruction and information, beginning on August 5, 2024 and conclude with a graduation ceremony on September 30, 2024. There is no charge for the academy.
