Five West Virginia middle schoolers who protested a transgender athlete’s participation in a track and field competition have been barred from future meets — prompting the state attorney general to ask the US Supreme Court to weigh in on transgender student-athlete bans for a second time. Bridgeport Students among Individuals Recognized as Winners of Harrison County Young Writers Contest
During the April 16 meeting of the Harrison County Board of Education, students were recognized for their writing ability. Several of the students are from Bridgeport. Harrison County Schools Curriculum Specialist Stephanie Runion recognized the winners of the Harrison County Young Writers Contest. She was joined in the presentation by Superintendent Dora Stutler.
