On-scene, deputies found a woman with gunshot wounds to her body. She was able to walk to a neighboring residence before 911 was called on her behalf. She was transported to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries.

The deputies proceeded to find a male individual with a gunshot wound to his body as well. The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has identified the individual to be Donzie Arnette, 64 .

Arnette is believed to be the “live-in boyfriend” of the female individual and was also transported to a local hospital. He was pronounced dead upon arrival.

2 NEWS spoke with neighbors of the couple who said the situation is devastating, but not surprising.

“Left work and I was told about my neighbor got shot and killed. So, yeah, that’s that’s sad. And there’s a lot been going on lately, especially the last six, seven months. Like we hear gunshots and just a lot of violence in this area,” said Badis Houam, next-door neighbor.

The incident remains under investigation.
