Our water hose has turned back on across southern New England Thursday as an offshore storm sits southeast. At least our pollen levels have fallen Thursday! We are back to an east, northeast breeze and this will keep our temperatures in the 50s to 60s along eastern New England all day. And keep the umbrella handy, scattered rain remains through the evening.

Brockton Charity Guild helps Angelo Elementary School kids make gift bags for Mother's Day
BROCKTON − Second graders at the Angelo Elementary School had some special help getting ready for Mother's Day by making gift bags for their mothers or special someone. The Charity Guild Food Pantry hosted its 18th annual Mother's Day event on May 9 for the Angelo Elementary School's second-grade classes this year. This annual tradition was created in 2006 by the late Geraldine Creedon, a longtime board member who was a state representative at the time.

Soaking rain makes for tough Thursday morning commute in Mass.
With a large, somewhat robust storm sitting south of Long Island, this will be the wettest day of the next 10. Bands of rain continue to sweep in from the east as the storm gradually moves away late Thursday, but they'll be of weaker intensity than the morning. All told, it's wet the entire day.
